The PROSOIL Project, 2009 - 2015

The IBERS PROSOIL project was an innovative venture tackling the many challenges of soil management and promoting the importance of healthy soils on livestock farms in Wales.

Working with Welsh livestock farmers, the PROSOIL project linked scientific research on soil management techniques to farm practice.

Plot experiments and field work undertaken at IBERS was replicated on nine commercial development farms across Wales, allowing robust scientific comparisons to be made towards improving soil health through various approaches.
